Craig Jackson

I am a PSC and Production Sound Recordist based in Glasgow, Scotland, with bases in Manchester and as far afield as L.A.

I have over 10 years experience across HETV/Feature Film, Factual TV, Obs. Doc and Corporate. During this time my work has taken me around the world and across a range of different, challenging environments — from freezing conditions in the Scottish Highlands to the dry deserts of Arizona.

Over the years I have developed a strong creative and technical approach to Location Sound Recording — stemming from working up through the sound department under some immensely talented boom operators and mixers. Recording sound that preserves the actor’s performance, not just the dialogue, is something I pride myself on. As a practitioner I am always looking for new ways to improve my skill set.

I have worked for the majority of the UK’s biggest broadcasting channels as well as Paramount, Amazon and Netflix. Across some well-known IPs including Batgirl, Indiana Jones, EE, New Balance and many others.

I am also a huge advocate of diversity in the Film and TV industry, being a proud member of the LGBT filming community.
